UK actor Stephen Tompkinson’s three-part documentary Stephen Tompkinson’s Australian Balloon Adventure began on ITV1 over the weekend, following Stephen and his team as they travel through Australia’s South East.

Australian ETA Visa

Tompkinson's Australian ballon adventure takes in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.

Tourism Australia worked closely with UK production company Tiger Aspect and ITV1 on the documentary and the online content at ITV.com, which features picture galleries, an interactive map, behind the scenes blogs and vodcasts, and the chance to win a two week holiday to Australia.

The documentary follows Stephen and his team for a month as they take in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales, even taking part in the country’s largest balloon competition, the Canowindra Balloon Challenge.

Some unforgettable training flights also take in the outback’s Flinders Ranges, the Melbourne cityscape and a record-breaking flight to 10,000ft.
But their journey sees them experiencing Australia from the ground as well as thousands of feet in the air. You can learn more about their trip, enter a competition to win a trip to Australia and watch the programmes by visiting the ITV1 website here.

All visitors to Australia, unless they have an Australian or New Zealand passport, must have an Australian Travel Visa. The most common of these is the ETA Visa, which can be easily applied for online and once approved is electronically attached to your passport.
