Rural South Australia to have immigration visit
Australian immigration officials will be visiting areas of South Australia that have restricted access to support and services.
The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) are continuing its regional visit programme, in which Australian immigration officials call in on areas lacking access to immigration information, support and services.
Mount Gambier will receive the officers on February 24 and 25, and residents in the area will be able to make appointments with the officers between 9am and 4pm, which can be made by telephoning 08 8237 6708.
The immigration officials will be on hand to discuss any immigration or citizenship matters, including employing overseas workers on Australian working visas and the pathway to naturalisation for those who decided to migrate to Australia. Staff will also be on-hand to help lodge an Australian visa application.
