A digital transformation is happening in Australia

The rise of technology across Australia is evolving the job market and increasing the demand for skilled people.

According to new research, digital transformation will add an estimated $45 billion to Australia's GDP by 2021 and increase its growth rate by 0.5% annually. Companies have reported that increasing their use of digital technologies has produced significant improvements in profit margins and productivity. Further benefits included cost reduction and increased revenue from new products and services.

To realise the full potential of technology its crucial businesses invest in a highly skilled workforce. The Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia stated that Australia's future economy is likely to be built through investment in information technology and the skills in Australia's labour force. This is a move away from Australia's heavy reliance on investing in natural resources.

Skilled people are at the centre of digital transformation, and the rise of digital technologies is advancing the Australian job market. Visa Bureau work closely with Hays Globalink, a London based team who can assist with career transition into the Australian market.
