IT professionals think they're 'hot stuff', taking advantage of Australian immigration

The majority of IT professionals in Australia consider themselves to be in demand, according to a survey. The research, by technology recruitment company Diversiti, has revealed that 72 per cent of IT professionals see themselves as "hot" or "in demand". The news may come as an encouragement to IT professionals in the UK who are considering Australian immigration.

With a skills shortage of IT professionals that are in Australia, skilled UK workers are enjoying the luxury of being able to pick and choose their jobs. Diversiti's New South Wales general manager Robert Stummer, said: "This new generation is challenging the status quo and demanding a fresh approach to the traditional employment relationship and job seeking process. In this skills deficient market, IT professionals want to deal with recruiters who are willing to provide a 'talent agent' role."

A recent report by the Academy of Social Sciences revealed that Australian immigration needs to be boosted by 30 per cent in the next 20 years.

Australia needs skilled IT workers: Anyone applying for an Australian visa should begin by completing the Australian Visa Bureau's online Australian visa application to see if they meet the Australian visa requirements.
