Find out about job opportunities on your Australian holiday
Skilled migrants will have opportunities to attend Australia Needs Skills Expos run by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).
Skilled workers attending an expo can meet Australian employers who have skill shortages and talk to government representatives who want to recruit skilled workers.
The expos will include presentations on topics such as the employer sponsored schemes, the skill matching database, general skilled migration and skills recognition.
The expos are aimed skilled workers, international university students, working holiday makers, overseas tourists, temporary visa holders and family members of prospective skilled workers.
The first expo is in Sydney on September 29th 2007 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour. Further expos are planned for Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide in 2008.
There is no need to register to attend an expo in Australia. You can just turn up on the day.
There will also be Australia Needs Skills Expos for skilled people interested in living and working in Australia scheduled in London in 2008.
More information about skills expos is available on Visa Bureau's skilled migration pages.
