Australian Business Visa - Long Stay

For longer stays, the Temporary Business Entry (Long Stay) Visa (subclass 457) caters for business visits of up to 4 years for:

• Personnel (executives, managers and specialists) for companies operating in Australia;
• Personnel from offshore companies seeking to establish a branch in Australia, participate in joint ventures, or fulfil a contract awarded to an offshore company; and
• Personnel coming under a labour or Invest Australia Supported Skills agreement.

Unlike the ETA visas, this visa class cannot be applied for online.

Regular business traveller to Australia? You may be eligible for the ETA Long-Validity Business Visa

While we are unable to offer a Long-Stay Business Visa option online, we are able to offer a multiple-entry visa option that might be sufficient for regular business travellers to Australia. The ETA Long-Validity Business Visa (subclass 956) has the exact same requirements as the ETA Short-Stay Visa, but has the added benefit of being a multiple entry visa, allowing persons holding this visa to stay in Australia for up to three months on each visit for the life of their passport. 

The ETA  Long-Validity Business Visa was designed for persons who make regular business trips to Australia. However, due to the extra costs that a multiple entry visa requires, there is a higher processing fee for the subclass 956 visa.

To apply for the ETA Long-Validity Business Visa, complete an online ETA application and select 'Business (long validity) in the 'Visa Type' field.
