Australian Embassy London: Australia Embassy Information

Among commonwealth nations, the term Embassy is not used to describe diplomatic centres. Instead, the term used for the Australian Embassy London is High Commission.  In London, the Australian High Commission is located at Australia House.

The Australian High Commission in London is the Australian Government's main diplomatic representative body in the United Kingdom. The High Commission provides diplomatic services, as well as migration and visa services between Australia and the UK.

Migration Branch of the Australian High Commission

The Migration Branch of the Australian High Commission is located in Australia House in London, and it acts as an overseas representative of the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP).

The Migration Branch, however, does not provide any individual counselling or specific advice to potential migrants. For this reason the Australian High Commission advises potential migrants obtain help from a Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) certified migration agent.
