The US Embassy in Accra will move to a new visitor visa appointment service next month, allowing applicants to schedule appointments online or by phone.

New procedures for a US Visa application will commence next month, the US Embassy in Ghana has announced.

From March 1, all non-immigrant US Visa applicants must schedule an appointment at the US Embassy online or by calling 233-263011685.

In order to schedule an appointment an applicant must be able to supply a passport number, a US Visa fee payment receipt and the ten digit barcode number from your DS-160 confirmation page.

When applicants visit the US Embassy in Accra on the date and time of the visa interview they will need to bring a printed copy of the appointment letter, the DS-160 confirmation page, one recent visa photograph, current and all old passports, and the original visa fee payment receipt.

Applications without all of these items will not be accepted.
Applicants will also have to collect the issued visas in person at the US Embassy.

Applicants who have already scheduled visa appointments will not be impacted by this change.
