A global business travel association has welcomed the announcement that Greece will join the American Visa Waiver Program and its citizens will only need an ESTA to enter America.

Greece will join the Visa Waiver Program and visitors to America will only need the ESTA.
The Visa Waiver Program allows nationals from selected countries to enter America with only an ESTA, or Electronic System for Travel Authorization, rather than an American visa.
The ESTA is a straightforward system, which can be applied for online and takes a relatively short period of time to be approved. Travellers to America from Visa Waiver countries are advised to apply for an ESTA at least 72 hours before travel.
The National Business Travel Association applauded the Department of Homeland Security announcement that Greece will be member of the Visa Waiver Program as the partnership will enhance security standards and make it easier for international travel.
NBTA Executive Director & COO Michael W McCormick said, “Corporations in both Greece and the United States can rejoice in Greece’s acceptance into the US Visa Waiver Program. Visa-free travel is imperative to facilitate effective international travel, enabling the free flow of commerce and economic growth.”
The American Visa Bureau is an independent consulting company specialising in helping people make American Visa applications to the American Embassy.
