American immigration services receive thousands of visa applications

American immigration services have announced that it has stopped taking H-1B visa applications after just one week. The department has said it has now received enough requests for visas for the year starting 1st October. The H-1B visa is for highly skilled workers and lasts for three years, but the department has said it has now received enough requests for visas for the year starting 1st October, meaning US immigration hopefuls must seek other methods to gain an American visa.

The opening date for applications was 1st April and the agency has since revealed it has also received enough applications for them to allow more than the 20,000 workers with masters degrees to enter the country. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services will now conduct a random selection process with the applications at a date which has not been confirmed. A statement said: "Due to the high number of petitions, USCIS is not yet able to announce the precise day on which it will conduct the random selection process." American immigration is possible through other avenues and people should take an American visa application to get the process started.

America needs skilled workers: anyone interested in American immigration should complete the American Visa Bureau's online American visa application to see if they qualify for an American visa.
