American immigration reform called by New England groups

New England advocacy groups are calling for American immigration reforms for illegal immigrants living in the US.

Barracking for American immigration reform, the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition held a press conference in Boston as a precursor to its meeting with Vice President Joe Biden.

The coalition is calling for practical solutions for the 12 million undocumented American immigrants, although they did not provide any for the government.  Instead, they promoted American immigration principals such as allowing illegal immigrants to work and have reunions with deported family members.

Alejandro Urrutia, president of Vision Hispana, said that American immigration reform is vital if the government want to avoid a situation where Latinos are entrenched in discrimination.

Congress has not passed American immigration reform for the past three years in the interest of "border security", reports Cattle Network, although hopes have been raised that Obama's new government would work in favour of American immigration advocates.

The American Visa Bureau is an independent consulting company specialising in American immigration and visa  services.
